My SAPS: The App for Anonymous Crime Tip-offs
My SAPS is a free Android application developed by SITA-MYSAPS, allowing citizens to access police services and information quickly. With My SAPS, you can submit crime tip-offs anonymously to the Crime Stop Centre and receive updates. Additionally, you can locate the nearest police station with the SAPS Station Finder, view all contact information, and access all SAPS social media platforms.
The app also features a list of missing, unknown, or wanted people by the South African Police Services. Moreover, users can view crime statistics based on official statistics for offenses or offender rates. The Vulnerability Services section ensures effective investigation of related crimes and service delivery to victims of family violence and sexual offenses. Users can also enable notifications under their profile and receive updates regarding protest actions, events, missions, or wanted persons. Lastly, the app allows users to report the poor service of the South Africa Police Service for investigation.
